THE NEW YORK MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL, NYMF, is the ultimate buffet for insatiable musical theatre fans. The Festival is a unique opportunity for musical theatre lovers to get a break from watching Direct TV specials and catch a future Broadway hit in its early stages of development. Inaugurated in 2004, NYMF was conceived to nurture and promote promising artists in the eld of musical theatre. More than thirty new musicals make the critical step from page to stage when they are presented for the rst time in 3D before industry professionals and a live audience.

Over the course of the three week festival, July 9-29, over 200 performances, 50 productions and special events will be offered. Many beloved Broadway stars originate roles in the new productions, performed in the heart of New York’s theatre district. The jam-packed performance schedule includes comedies, dramas, romance, science ction, autobiography, pop, rock, jazz and R&B. There is something for all interests with themes ranging from political to historical, from gay to cabaret and everything in between. Since 2004, over 300 new musicals have been presented at The New York Musical Theatre Festival. Over 70 shows have gone on to have successful productions on Broadway, Off Broadway, in states all over the U.S and in countries around the world.
